Emmanuel Lechat — Freelance Front-end Developer in Brittany
I am a freelance web designer & front-end developer based in La Roche-Bernard, Brittany, France.
I work under my own name and support agencies, art directors, companies and public organisations in creating bespoke, elegant and high-performing websites.
I regularly work in Nantes, Vannes and throughout the Brittany region.
What I do
I help my clients build websites that are fluid, immersive, fast and easy to maintain. I am particularly comfortable with projects requiring:
- Pixel-perfect HTML/CSS integration faithful to a Figma mockup;
- Bespoke JavaScript development;
- Immersive animations (GSAP, ScrollTrigger, custom interactions);
- A fast, durable website built on Kirby CMS;
- Smooth collaboration with art directors, graphic designers, 3D studios and back-end developers.
I am primarily contacted for website creation or redesign, front-end development, HTML/CSS integration, or projects requiring Kirby CMS expertise.
My background
A freelance web designer and developer since 2008, passionate about sailing, I sometimes live on a boat. Between 2022 and 2024 I completed a transatlantic voyage — the opportunity to experience life as a digital nomad at sea. I worked from the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and especially Martinique.
To bring together my love of sailing and my professional activity, I co-founded VMG Studio popup: true in 2024, a communication studio specialising in the nautical and maritime sector.
My approach
I favour simple, durable technologies: native CSS, PHP, Kirby CMS, JavaScript. My goal: to create lightweight, fast and enjoyable interfaces.
